Dimensions
==========

This page explains the key dimensions used throughout PyETK. Understanding these dimensions streamlines your workflow and ensures you use every feature to its full potential.

The transformer dimensions, from core to turn distances, fall into two main build topologies:

- Wound build type
- Planar build type

The main difference between the two is that the planar transformer's winding is embedded in
the PCB as traces, while the wound winding wraps around a leg of the magnetic core.
